MF27 Formula List & PDF Download — A-Level H2 Math 2026 Guide

Download the current MF27 formula sheet (PDF) and browse all 8 pages of the SEAB math data booklet online for 2026 A-Level preparation. MF27 is the official maths formula booklet issued by SEAB for students taking H1, H2, and H3 Mathematics under the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level syllabus — replacing the previous MF26 formula list from 2025 onwards.

This A-Level math formula sheet brings together selected formulas, identities, and results across calculus, statistics, vectors, and other syllabus areas. It does not replace the methods and results students are still expected to know.

MF27 in one minute

What is MF27, and how should an H2 Math student use it?

MF27 is the official eight-page List of Formulae and Results used from 2025 for Singapore-Cambridge H1, H2 and H3 Mathematics and H2 Further Mathematics papers. Use it as a navigation and checking tool during revision: learn where each result appears, practise deciding when it applies, and maintain a separate list of examinable methods or results that the booklet does not supply.

When a course may help

A structured H2 course may help when the student can locate a formula but cannot identify the conditions for using it, derive an omitted result, or apply the same idea in unfamiliar exam questions.

Not suitable when

The student is trying to replace conceptual learning or formula recall entirely with booklet lookup during timed work.

Revision workflow

Turn MF27 into a working revision tool

Reading the booklet from front to back is less useful than practising the decisions that surround each lookup. Use this three-part cycle with topical and past-year questions.

  1. 1

    Locate

Find the relevant page and result without browsing every section.

  2. 2

    Decide

Check the conditions and decide whether the result actually fits the question.

  3. 3

    Apply

Complete the working, then record any result or method you expected MF27 to provide but it did not.

Exam rehearsal

Practise the lookup habit under time

Keep MF27 beside the paper during timed practice, just as it will be available in the examination. Attempt familiar results from memory first, use the booklet to verify less familiar details, and note any lookup that interrupts your train of thought.

A useful review question

Did the lost time come from not knowing where the result was, not recognising when to use it, or not knowing the method after finding it? Each cause needs a different revision response.

MF26 vs MF27: What Changed?

The MF27 formula booklet replaced the previous MF26 list from 2025 and remains the current formula list for 2026 A-Level preparation. Here are the key differences between MF26 and MF27 that students need to know.

MF26 (Old — Pre-2025)

  • Used for previous A-Level H2 Math syllabus
  • Did not include Numerical Methods (Euler, Simpson's Rule)
  • Fewer probability distributions listed
  • No Mathematical Results section (inequalities)
  • No longer accepted in A-Level exams from 2025

MF27 (Current — 2026 Guide)

  • Aligned with revised 9758 H2 Math syllabus
  • Includes Numerical Methods: Euler, Simpson's Rule, Newton-Raphson
  • Added Geometric and Exponential distributions
  • New Page 7: Mathematical Results (AM-GM, Cauchy-Schwarz, Triangle Inequality)
  • Official SEAB booklet for A-Level Math exams from 2025 onwards, including 2026

Frequently Asked Questions About MF27

What is MF27 and why do I need it?
MF27 is the official List of Formulae and Results for H1, H2, and H3 Mathematics published by SEAB and Cambridge International. It's provided in all A-Level Math exams from 2025 onwards. However, not all examinable formulas are included, so you must memorize critical formulas like Cosine Rule, Sine Rule, and key integration results.
Can I bring my own copy of MF27 to the exam?
No. SEAB provides a clean copy of MF27 in the exam hall. You cannot bring your own annotated version. However, practicing with an annotated copy during revision helps you learn where to find formulas quickly during the actual exam.
What formulas are missing from MF27?
Key formulas NOT in MF27 include: Cosine Rule (a² = b² + c² - 2bc cos A), Sine Rule (a/sin A = b/sin B = c/sin C), Arc Length (s = rθ), Area of Sector (½r²θ), Distance Formula, and Midpoint Formula. For a complete list of missing formulas with annotations, get our annotated MF27 PDF or read our comprehensive guide.
How should I use MF27 during my exam?
Use MF27 strategically for complex formulas (Maclaurin series coefficients, distribution formulas) and for verification. Memorize common formulas to save time. Aim to spend less than 2 minutes total referencing MF27 during each paper. Know exactly where each formula is located.
What is the difference between MF26 and MF27?
MF27 replaces MF26 from 2025 onwards and is aligned with the revised 9758 H2 Math syllabus. Key additions include Numerical Methods (Euler's Method, Simpson's Rule, Newton-Raphson), Geometric and Exponential distributions, and a new Mathematical Results section (AM-GM, Cauchy-Schwarz, Triangle Inequality). MF26 is no longer accepted in A-Level exams. See our detailed MF26 vs MF27 comparison above.
Where can I download the MF27 math data booklet PDF?
You can download the official MF27 math data booklet (PDF) for free using the download buttons above. The PDF is the exact same version provided by SEAB in the A-Level exam hall. We also offer Tim Gan's annotated MF27 walkthrough notes with handwritten derivations and exam tips.

Learn MF27 with structured H2 Math support

Learning formulas is only the start. Structured lessons can help students decide when a result applies, recognise methods that MF27 does not provide, and practise those decisions in exam questions. Physical classes are mapped to Jurong East, Bukit Timah and Tampines, subject to the current timetable, with online options also available.
