H2 Math Tutor
Ms Hannah
From TGM student to TGM tutor—with an H2 Math A in between.
Teaching background
Ms Hannah is a former TGM student who was taught by Mr Gan, and is now an undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) who teaches H2 Mathematics. Having experienced the TGM approach from a student's perspective, she understands the value of building conceptual clarity before moving into examination practice. She also understands the pace and pressure of JC Mathematics, from making sense of abstract concepts to applying them confidently in demanding examination questions.
Her lessons begin with conceptual understanding. Before asking students to memorise a method, Ms Hannah makes sure they understand why it works and how each step follows from the last. Once the foundation is secure, she moves into structured practice so students can recognise patterns, adapt familiar ideas to unfamiliar questions, and avoid relying on rote learning.
Patient and supportive, Ms Hannah adjusts her explanations to each student's pace and level of understanding. Her experience teaching younger students has strengthened her ability to break difficult ideas into manageable steps and explain the same concept in different ways until it clicks.
She also helps students develop practical study habits and examination technique, including how to present solutions clearly, manage time across a paper, and spot the steps where marks are commonly lost. Her goal is to help students become more methodical, confident, and independent when tackling challenging H2 Mathematics problems.
