Ms Shehza

Ms Shehza is a former Tim Gan Math student and a first-year Pharmacy undergraduate at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She completed her O Levels at Tanjong Katong Secondary School before progressing to Victoria Junior College for her A Levels. She attained A1 grades in both Additional Mathematics and Elementary Mathematics at O Levels, followed by an A in Mathematics at A Levels. She now teaches H1 and H2 Mathematics, as well as O-Level Additional Mathematics and Elementary Mathematics.

Although she is beginning her formal tutoring journey, Ms Shehza has been actively involved in mentoring and facilitation programmes over the years. These experiences have strengthened her ability to guide others patiently, communicate ideas clearly, and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable participating and asking questions.

In lessons, Ms Shehza breaks complex concepts into smaller, manageable steps. She begins with the core principles, checks that students understand them, and then builds towards more challenging questions. She welcomes questions throughout each lesson and checks in regularly before moving on, allowing her to identify gaps early and adapt her explanations to each student's needs. Her goal is to help students develop both a sound conceptual foundation and the confidence to approach unfamiliar problems independently.
