How Mr Gan teaches it
Why Vectors, and why now
- Vectors is a core part of H2 Math, tested as vector algebra and vector geometry. It is one of the topics students ask Mr Gan about most: TGM’s Question Bank has 578 vectors questions, every one with a full video solution.
- Shaky foundations are normal. Mr Gan starts from the basics and builds to intermediate and exam-style questions, in order, over two days.
- JC2 fills up fast: orientation, CCA and a heavier timetable. Many students see their first full H2 Math paper with vectors only at prelims. Use the December break to settle the topic first.

Two days, four sessions
H2 Vectors is long, and schools often cover it fast. The H2 Math Vectors Crash Course by Mr Tim Gan covers all of it in order over two days, from vector algebra to lines, planes and distances. It runs Tue 1 and Wed 2 Dec 2026, 10:30am–3:30pm, in-centre at King’s Arcade, Bukit Timah, or by livestream, for any JC1 or JC2 student taking H2 Math.
Each day is $200, or $360 for both. Tap a session to see it drawn in 3D. Want a head start? Read our free guide to the core ideas of H2 Vectors.

How Mr Gan teaches it
Vectors is hard to picture, and a question you can’t picture is hard to start. Mr Gan draws every question in 3D, with the same tool students use in TGM Study Hub.
Vectors is 3D geometry written as algebra. When students can’t see the question, they freeze on long parts like the foot of the perpendicular. Mr Gan draws it in 3D first, then works it on paper, step by step.
Try it below. This worked example is from his own class: the point on a line closest to a given point. Tap What am I looking at? for plain words, or drag the picture to turn it.

Is the Vectors Crash Course suitable for JC1 students?
Yes. Any JC1 or JC2 student taking H2 Mathematics in 2026 can join. Mr Gan starts from Vectors Algebra on Day 1 and builds up to planes and applications on Day 2, so a JC1 student who has not finished the topic in school can still follow it in order.
What does the Vectors Crash Course cover in the H2 Math syllabus?
The whole H2 Math Vectors topic, so students are not left to piece it together alone. Four sessions: Vectors Algebra (position vectors, ratio theorem, scalar product); Vectors Results, Applications & Line (dot and cross product results, lines, angles); Vectors Planes (planes, intersections, angles); Vectors Applications (distances, foot of the perpendicular, reflections, exam technique).
How much does the Vectors Crash Course cost, and can I attend one day only?
Yes. Each day is $200, and both days are $360, a saving of $40. Pick Day 1 (Vectors Algebra; Vectors Results, Applications & Line) if the basics feel shaky. Pick Day 2 (Vectors Planes; Vectors Applications) if planes, distances and the long exam questions are the problem.
What are the hours, and is lunch included?
Both days run from 10:30am to 3:30pm, with a lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30pm. In-centre students at King’s Arcade get lunch provided, so there is nothing to pack. Livestream students take the same break at home.
Where is King’s Arcade?
559 Bukit Timah Rd, #03-01B, Singapore 269695. The nearest MRT stations are Tan Kah Kee (Downtown Line) and Botanic Gardens (Circle and Downtown Lines). If the trip is too far, students can join the same lessons by livestream.
Can I attend by livestream from home?
Yes. Choose livestream at checkout and join the same lessons live from home, so distance is not a problem. Worksheets come as a PDF in TGM Study Hub. Livestream has no seat limit; in-centre seats at King’s Arcade are limited to 20.
Are the classes recorded?
Yes, so students can rewatch any step they missed. Every session’s recording stays in TGM Study Hub until 31 Jan 2027, or for as long as the student is enrolled in a TGM Live Tuition Class.
What do students new to TGM get?
Question Bank access in TGM Study Hub until 31 Jan 2027: 578 vectors questions, every one with a full video solution, plus the rest of the Question Bank. Also a free H2 Mathematics Essentials summary book (U.P. $24.90) if not bought or given before: one per student, after full payment, free Singapore delivery, while stocks last.
What is the 3D tool?
A 3D drawing tool Mr Gan built for his own classes, so students can see what the algebra means. It draws points, lines and planes as a picture that can be turned, and shows the working step by step, like the diagram on this page.
How do I pay?
Online, on this page, by card or PayNow. Payment is secure, and the seat is confirmed as soon as it goes through, so there is no waiting for a reply.
What happens after I pay?
The seat is confirmed straight away, with nothing more to arrange. Joining details are sent before the first day, and class recordings go into TGM Study Hub. Students new to TGM also get Question Bank access and, if they have not had it before, the free book delivered to the address entered at payment.
