Mr Ng

Mr Ng holds a Master of Science in Data Science and Machine Learning from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he also completed his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Applied Mathematics, specialising in Operations Research and Financial Mathematics, with a second major in Statistics and a minor in Economics. This depth of training lets him show students how the concepts they're learning connect to one another and to the wider world of quantitative thinking.

He has taught across O-Level, A-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), and university-level courses, in both tuition-centre and 1-to-1 settings, giving him a broad feel for how different students struggle with the same ideas. In lessons, he favours guided questioning over direct answers — walking students toward the reasoning themselves so that the logic behind each formula becomes intuitive. Alongside this, he drills exam-specific problem-solving strategies, flags common pitfalls, and trains students to verify their own working under time pressure.

Patient and encouraging by nature, Mr Ng takes particular pride in watching students move from dependence to independence — from waiting for the next step to trusting their own reasoning.
